Business Representation & Vision Committee

Goal: Enable DPB to serve as the voice for the business community on current issues and to lead the community into the future.

Strategy: Business Leadership: increase the prestige of the business association through meeting with policy makers and the media and presenting a helpful and friendly organization and to showcase and promote Discover Pacific Beach’s activities and policies.

Strategy: Hospitality Industry Leadership : engage with the hospitality business community, the law enforcement community, and the residential community to manage and mitigate the friction caused by conflicting interests, to enable the hospitality community to thrive and grow.

This proposed Committee seeks to examine and revise structural issues in the neighborhood and offer a compelling vision of the future for the business district. It will work to create an overarching vision for the future of the business district that will include neighborhood design guidelines, transportation and parking solutions, and a new business recruitment strategy. The committee will work with other neighborhood groups to encourage community unity and joint efforts.

develop alcohol advocacy position statement
work with Design and Improvement Committee to establish a “Storefront Dress Code”
develop action plan for neighborhood planned district ordinance
complete the formation of the Beach Area Maintenance Assessment District.
